It's common to divide a class into teams for the purpose of completing one or more projects during the course. Manhattan' s Team Discussion and Team/Teacher Discussions are designed to facilitate discussions between team members in the online classroom.
The mechanics of working within these modules are basically the same as for the Class Discussion, Student Lounge, and Anonymous Discussion modules as detailed in Class Discussion, Student Lounge and Anonymous Discussion. The basic difference is that instead of everyone seeing the messages posted to the modules, students can only see messages posted by members of their team.
